This window system offers the same benefits as the wood2wood window system, but in contrast to the wood2wood window the alu2wood window has an outside layer of aluminium. The window frame is not visible from the outside, which, in comparison with regular aluminum windows, results in a slim and elegant design.
This elegant design is achieved through the use of very slender window sash and a window frame, which is almost completely covered. The achieved thermal insulation value of the alu2wood windows makes this product to one of the most affordable passive house windows of its time. The Europe patent was issued for this window system.
